# Welcome to Orion

Orion is a theme framework created by Studio Almond, and used for Studio Almond clients. It has been developed to work for scaling brands, and as of 2026, follows a refined, intentional Shopify 2.0 structure.

Flexibiltiy is key, with an un-opininated design and abiltiy to customise the UI.

Options within sections across layout, styles, colour and datasource are significant, and continue to be enhanced.

Orion is free for all Studio Almond clients, and has now license or lock-in.

As Orion is a framework, not a stylized theme, it is important to remember that if your site has been created with Orion, that there will likely be customisations on top of the core setup that are specific to your website - with this in mind - please use these docs as a guide and reference point, not a specific guide to your exact setup.
